January 25 – How We Met by Huma Queresha.
A romantic memoir embracing different cultures and backgrounds. Lightly written, and an easy read about a young Muslim girl/woman who grows up to realise she can have happiness with a partner, whilst still generally adhering to her faith and the expectations of her more devout family.
A lively discussion within Group, and most members enjoyed the book.
The Questers’ Committee are currently arranging a visit to the Corps of Royal Signals at Blandford on the Monday 14 April 2025. There is a maximum of 15 on this trip and although the minibus can take 16, the tour has space for 15 only. I already have some names.
First come, first choice of seats on the bus!
It’s a minibus trip leaving at 9.15am prompt from Wickes. The cost of the minibus, entrance and a guided tour should not exceed £18 per person. We need at least 12 names to make this trip financially viable otherwise it will be cancelled.
There is a café selling hot and cold food and drinks for lunch after the guided tour.
